XCP-ng Storage Types Explained

In this video, I explain the different types of storage that are used by Xen hypervisor. Mostly the documentation of XCP-ng and Xen Orchestra is used. Take everything with a grain of salt because everything is used on older hardware and not at all enterprise grated. But enjoy the video and try to test it for yourself. The future me has discovered that with a 10Gbit network my systems can not keep up with the io on the network.   ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Intro 00:19 - A look at the XCP-ng documentation 01:51 - Thin Thick 05:47 - Preparing the shared network resources on TrueNAS CORE 12:40 - Adding Shared SR to XCP-ng host 17:17 - Comparing the storage types with some stats 23:48 - End word The link to the documentation used. https://xcp-ng.org/docs/storage.html#storage-types Other videos that I have made can help. How to patch (upgrade) XCP-ng with Xen Orchestra CE and scheduling to reboot the XCP-ng host

In the video, I show how I do the updates of my XCP-ng host with Xen Orchestra CE. After the update, I do a system reboot that I schedule if needed but most of the time I can do the reboot instantly.   ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬  00:00 - Intro  00:17 - Applying the patches  02:20 - Scheduling a reboot  06:51 - End Word  Link to the XCP-ng documentation https://xcp-ng.org/docs/guests.html Link to XCP-ng playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJQANFmtbDeYORouS5NgKehCCkex2V14L  Link to TrueNAS playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJQANFmtbDea5xto8TwBHcTBoqou7L3eF
